Patchwork

Information gap filling

Friday approached Camel Punch about working with their design and project management crew to build a prototype Rails application for FutureGov’s new public-sector information sharing tool, Patchwork.

Patchwork works by matching up public sector worker’s client cases (usually about people). The aim is to share certain information about clients, and to raise alerts when multiple workers have concerns about them.

Andrew worked with Friday and FutureGov using a flexible, agile project methodology to deliver a working site within just 37 days.

You might like to read a better description of Patchwork on the Safeguarding 2.0 site. That page also has some action shots of Real People using the system.

Patchwork is a private system, and its trial has now finished. Check the Safeguarding 2.0 site for updates about its future, and the Patchwork holding page will probably change to something more interesting one day.
